Il Primo Congresso Mondiale di Educazione Ambientale, realizzato sotto il patrocinio dell’UNEP ed UNESCO, ha riunito circa 300 partecipanti da 40 Paesi di tutti i continenti, offrendo una base internazionale a educatori, scienziati, ricercatori, studenti, politici, tecnici, attivisti, operatori dei mass media e insegnanti per presentare e dibattere i temi chiave dell’Educazione ambientale (EA) a livello mondiale.
